The Pleasure of Tranquil Abiding
Relaxing into our Heart-Centered Mind Retreat
January 17th – 19th
Peace of mind is priceless, pure pleasure that never disappoints.
Whenever it arises we’re naturally happy, our body becomes comfortable, and we have a good influence on our choices and the world around us.
Tranquil abiding is a superior state of peace that arises through training in meditation gradually, stage by stage.
In this retreat, we will identify our own heart-centered mind and then relax into guided concentrations on it. We will enjoy increasing our experience of concentration on this one precious object of meditation from which all others arise, session by session.
We will be silent during the Saturday morning Temple sessions and Sunday morning ones at the KMC SF Residence Gompa.
Everyone is welcome to drop in and join any session.
"Taking the mind as the object of meditation has a number of advantages. It makes it easier to attain tranquil abiding, to overcome external distractions, and to realize emptiness."
