Amitayus Retreat: Long Life, Wisdom and Merit

April 4th, 2026

In Person Only | Self Guided

Amitayus is the Buddha of long life, merit and wisdom—the main qualities we need for the happiness of enlightenment. Spending a day in retreat on Amitayus is considered very auspicious for what the whole of the rest of the year will bring. By relying on this holy being we accumulate profound wisdom and extensive merit, and will overcome the dangers of untimely death in this life and beyond.

Everyone is welcome. Although this is technically an advanced retreat, beginners are welcome to participate. If you are new to this practice or need more information, contact: epc@meditateinsanfrancisco.org
