May 2nd The Magic of Exchanging Self with Other Kathleen Thurston

Our world needs the skill of empathy and respect. We can develop a feeling of fellowship with others through letting go of our own self centeredness and learning how to skillfully move into the world of others.

MAY 9 Developing Great Compassion with Judith Sweet

Great compassion is an attitude that sincerely wishes to liberate all living beings from suffering permanently. Developing this attitude gives confidence and meaning to our life. We can, of course, also help in practical ways whenever possible.

May 16 Evolving a Vision of Taking Away Suffering with Kathleen Thurston

This meditation practice uses imagination to help us engage with a powerful vision of being able to take away suffering. It also helps us accept our own suffering and increase the power of our own compassionate actions towards both ourselves and others. 

May 23 Wishing Love Toward All

Make the finest wishes. The wish for everyone to experience pure and everlasting happiness is the starting point for developing the actual enlightened power to do so. By engaging it, we eventually expand our mind to encompass love for all. 

May 30 Giving Happiness Without Discrimination

In this creative and unique meditation practice, we imagine transforming our bodies into wishfulling jewels radiating the happiness of permanent inner peace. This meditation opens our heart and replaces low self esteem with self confidence. Come enjoy this beautiful practice!

This is a great place to start your spiritual journey towards realizing your potential or just to refresh your meditation practice. Gen Kelsang Choma, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center San Francisco

About the Teacher

Gen Kelsang Choma is a senior Teacher and Buddhist nun with the New Kadampa Tradition of Modern Buddhism. She is a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso has studied extensively on the Teacher Training Program for over 30 years and is qualified to teach both Sutra and Tantra. She is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center San Francisco and is invited to teach nationally. People enjoy her teachings for their clarity and warmth.
